NGCI Announce Maureen Caisse as President and CEO

Maskwacis, AB on April 1st, 2020 the Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) Board of Directors officially announce Mrs. Maureen Caisse as their new President and CEO.  

The NGCI Board, former President and CEO Sam Minde and new President and CEO Maureen Caisee have agreed to a 3-month “CEO transition plan” contract.  A smooth and well planned transition will maintain the confidence of Leadership, business partners, customers and employees, and provide the incoming CEO with a solid platform from which to move the company forward. 

The former President and CEO, Sam Minde activated the NGCI CEO Succession Plan December 13th, 2019. after months of self-reflection on personal ambitions.  His tenure as President and CEO of the Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. ended March 31st, 2020 having served just over 5 years.  “I appreciated every moment, every challenge, and every opportunity.  It is impossible to foresee a global pandemic in the final month of my role as CEO.  Maureen has proven to be a dedicated leader during the global crisis affecting NGCI today.  I am glad to be supporting her and the company through this role.”

Maureen’s appointment aligns well with NGCI’s preferred policy in capacity development of Ermineskin Cree Nation citizens.  Maureen is currently enrolled in the Executive Masters of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University and has served as the VP of Operations since the founding of NGCI in 2013 and is familiar with the company’s overall operation.
