Maskwacis, AB, November 9, 2021 – Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. announces that the Abacus Power Ltd, a renewable energy company, has donated $1000 to Ermineskin Food Bank to support the community initiative of Ermineskin Cree Nation (ECN).
It is widely known that food banks across Canada have been severely impacted by COVID-19. ECN have facing increased demand for support throughout this pandemic. The staff at Ermineskin Food Bank are working tirelessly to serve those who rely on their services to feel safe and healthy. This funding will assist the Ermineskin food bank to continue purchase food and other necessities.

The ECN Chief & Council have been committed to ensure the citizens of ECN receive the support they need during their moments of maintaining their health and safety. Food and Health hampers are provided to households who are required to isolate during the pandemic. In addition to the pandemic supports, Ermineskin Food Bank continue to assist those ECN citizens who are in need of food due to other circumstances. The food bank is considered a high source of need to the community on a daily basis.
